William A. Duratti

Experience

Mr. Duratti leads the Valuation Practice for MFA Cornerstone Consulting. As a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and Accredited Business Valuator (ABV), Bill’s significant expertise in valuation makes him well versed in performing valuations for a full range of business issues. He is widely sought after by business owners, CEOs, CFOs and other professionals to consult on complex transactions, strategic issues and the technical aspects of valuation.

For almost 20 years, Bill has been providing financial advisory and business valuation services to companies and owners considering the sale of a business as well as buyers for whom it is imperative to understand the earnings, tax and strategic significance of an acquisition. He is well regarded for his profound understanding of the economic model of business and, as a result, often serves as an integral part of client merger and acquisition teams, complementing and enhancing the efforts of owners, management, legal counsel and investment bankers. Beyond providing an accurate opinion of value, he helps clients to achieve a level of comfort and understanding of the big picture as well as the tax and financial reporting implications of a potential deal.

Bill also regularly performs business valuations for equity-based compensation (409A and ASC 718), purchase price allocations, goodwill and intangible asset impairment, gift and estate tax reporting, charitable giving and marital asset dissolution. In addition, he has significant experience assisting litigation teams in everything from analyzing, interpreting and summarizing complicated financial information and performing business valuations to lost profits and economic damage assessments. Whether acting in the role of consultant or expert witness in court, Bill presents his findings with clarity, precision and personality.
